Robert Ernesto Scheer About me Projects Tech Stack Work Experience Education Contact

Hello! I'm currently studying Computer Science at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany. I completed my Bachelors in March of 2026 and I'm now in my masters degree. I began programming in my free time at eleven years of age and I've completed a few personal projects and worked at a couple of companies.

We know dino

In progress

Build your own dinosaur museum with your friends! Go and dig out fossils, prepare them and expand your exhibition. Physics based chaotic multiplayer experience. This project is built with two friends as the Actresu Games Group. For this project, we got funding from the BW Developer Boost 2026!

Bachelors thesis

2026

This thesis explores different methods to convert a triangle surface mesh to a signed distance field.
To showcase the performance of the conversion algorithm, a particle simulation is implemented.
The entire project is built using C++ and OpenGL.

Mathe Fighter

2026

Test your math skills with this side-scrolling shooter! Collect the bubbles to fill the formula and shoot rockets. The bigger the formula's result, the higher the rockets damage. The game was created with two friends for their university group project.

Offroad UI

2025

A project to be built into vehicles for showing the car's orientation in space. Uses an ESP32 to send rotation data to a websocket which displays the orientation using WebGL.

Raytracer

2025

A simple raytracer I built from scratch for an univerity module. Uses C++, vectorization and a data oriented programming structure to maximize performance on the CPU.

Astrodome

2025

I participated in the Global Game Jam 2025 "Bubble" with three friends. In three days, we built this factory-tower defence game. Build extractors to gather resources and increase the size of the shield. Use turrets to defend your shield generator and surrounding factory against incoming threats.

FP Chat

2024

A client-server chat system built for a univerity module. Works straight out of the browser as the websocket protocol was implemented from scratch for the java server. Supports server management, account creation, unlimited file sends and private chat rooms.

Hue shifter

2022

A small 2D puzzle platformer made for the Hisar Jam 2 2022. Hueshift to phase through walls, defeat enemies and complete the levels. The game was fully made by me and actually won the Jam!

Together

2020

A small platformer game I built in unity with C#. Control two characters, pulled together by an invisible force.

...and many more, left uncompleted

Summer job - Full time
  • Creation and testing of a system for automated Hardware-in-the-Loop-Testing for in-car smart home devices
  • Communication with the smart home device via a Raspberry Pi, connected to a CAN-Bus
  • The tests were written in Robot Framework and Python, controlled by a webinterface written in HTML, CSS and JavaScript which communicates to the server using websockets and a REST-API
  • Additionally, a wiring harness was built and a simple electronic circuit was soldered onto a perforated grid board
  • Mercedes-Benz Vans

    Working student
  • Development of a portal to design the electrical equipment of a motorhome using a draft-based approach
  • Creation of a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test environment to test this equipment design
  • Development of a 3D simulation to test motorized seat adjustment in a vehicle
  • Design and construction of an interface for clear visualization of CAN documentation
  • Assembly of a wiring harness for the HIL test environment
  • Design of a user interface for a customer portal for a new vehicle generation
  • MP Sports Coaching & Consulting GmbH (Lanista)
